The first of its kind from Need for Speed, newcomers are able to virtually ride along and experience what Need for Speed World has to offer.
Beginning with a starting location, viewers can choose between two of the most popular districts, Rockport or Fortuna. From there, viewers have their pick towards which car they prefer to virtually “race” in: Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) or the Toyota Supra. Viewers are in the driving seat as each car showcases a different perspective of the race.
Using actual game-play footage, this unique interactive trailer showcases beautiful licensed cars, endless customization components and a massive open world which stretches over 100 miles of driving pleasure.
This is the essence of what makes Need for Speed World popular so among its growing community and is why the game has over 10 million registered users and counting.

 The Koenigsegg CCX “Elite” Edition takes the definition of a supercar to a whole new plane! This ferocious mid-engine speed machine is constructed out of carbon Kevlar and sports a twin-turbocharger.
Gamers will notice a few firsts in NFS World, when they feast their eyes on the stenciled logos on the front windshield and also the burnt titanium exhaust tips! The detail doesn’t stop there as the interior has been treated to a matching swatch of the exterior, with blue seats and yellow stripe. The exclusive custom carbon fiber widebody kit was designed to allow for a widened track, which allows for better overall traction. The front fascia has been radically restyled with a mid-wing mounted in the front bumper. The roofline has also been modified to incorporate two massive roof scoops, feeding air to its hungry engine. A new massive carbon rear wing has been mounted directly to the chassis and is a one-off piece specific to not only this car, but this particular kit.

 Spot the Devs - Winter Wonderland Edition!.
Find a Dev member, take a clear snapshot of their car and submit it to be entered into a random draw for your chance to win one of 50 promo codes for the not yet released 2011 “Snowflake” car. For this Spot the Devs, the Dev team will be racing around the world in a custom designed super car! Spot Producer Marc De Vellis and double your chances of winning, as he’ll have 25 promo codes to also give away.
Spot the Devs will take place on Wednesday December 14 between 10am – 12pm PST.
The Devs will be starting their engines at the following locations: Time Square, Little Italy, Chinatown, Golf Course and Silverton.
The team will be on the European server from 10am – 11am PST and then switch over to the North American server from 11am – 12pm PST.
Photos are to be submitted by email to ling@needforspeed.com by 1159pm PST December 14 in order to be entered into the random draw.

Customizations will be voted on by the Facebook community. The top 3 winners will be determined by the number of likes from our Facebook community. Community voting will take place from Monday December 19 until Friday December 23, 12pm PDT. The top 3 winners will be announced on Friday December 23, 1pm PDT.
There are no parameters in terms of design other than that it should reflect your idea of winter, Christmas or the holiday season. The more creative, the better!

NFS World has started to retire cars and will continue to do so on a weekly basis, so if you have had your eye on a certain beloved car, get it while you can!
With plenty of new cars being introduced weekly, we’ll look to “existing” cars and temporarily retire them. Owners of the retired cars will still be able to race them whereas others will need to wait until the car is once again available. Retired cars will become available again in the future, but at no guaranteed schedule. We will always give you a 1-week notice and list of the cars that are scheduled for retirement in the upcoming week. This gives you plenty of time to decide for yourself!
As of December 15th, the following cars will be retired from our current inventory and will not be purchasable until next year:

- Evo X Classic
- Lexus IS-F “Beauty”
